What would you do? Wait for the 16 Pro or buy the 15 Pro now? I get it partially subsidised from work every 2 years, but need to pay a premium to get over the base models.

Currently on iPhone 13, 11 Pro before that. I do miss the zoom from 11 Pro. Regular pictures did improve over the 11 Pro - 13 change considerably. Battery 91% on the 13 now, so still a lot of battery life left.

I don't consider Plus or Max models, they are just too big for most of my pockets.

I'm in the same boat! I currently owning a 13 Pro with battery at 89% at the moment. I'm contempling the 15 Pro Max but not sure if I should wait for the 16 Pro Max. The 13 Pro is still doing is job but I like new toys!! And trade in value for my 13 Pro is better now than in 7-8 months..

Having usbc, slightly less weight, and 5x lens was worth upgrading for me.

Threshold for waiting is usually December. Once you're in January or later, wait for the next iPhone Pro. Right now, iPhone 15 Pro is essentially 6 months to EOL.

But if you're just a regular iPhone user, meaning you don't care about the latest, get one anytime except in August.

Good point! And it might be 10 months before delivery as well, company purchase with no priority..

Even with zero priority, the Pro version has little delay. Everybody got their 15 Pro by late October. It's the Pro Max that most people want and pushed delays to November.

I would get both. I get a new iPhone every year.

Now is the sweet spot to purchase the latest model. Fever has calmed down giving pressure to offer better deals and also many of the initial and frustrating issues will be ironed out with firmware updates. Ive gone from 13 pro to 15 pro. My 13 pro had 89% battery health when I switched. Glitches can start from around 85% battery health in my experience which would then involve less recycle payback or battery replacement at £80 to fix.

I always wait for the issues to be ironed out before jumping in . As mentioned above , now is the time in my opinion.

Similar situation here. I currently have the regular 13 and had the XR and regular 12 before. Today T-Mobile had a good offer for the 15 Pro and so tomorrow I will have my first ever Pro 😬 I think it was a good decision as there are so many improvements over the regular 13. Pro Motion, USB-C, Optical Zoom, 48Mp, brighter screen… I think I’ll be well equipped with the 15 Pro for many years now.

I have the same situation with company subsidy, and got a 15 Pro when it came out to replace my 12 Pro. Yes, the zoom on the 16 Pro is rumored to be even better (like the 15 Pro Max at 5x) but even the regular 15 Pro has 3X which is better than the 2X on the 12 Pro (or 11 Pro). I think you’d get good use out of the 15 Pro, especially considering you’d have nearly a full years’ extra use out of it vs waiting.

Just get what you need/want now. I recently bought a 15 Pro over 15. If you can afford it comfortably then I suggest you get it. Life’s already too stressful to contemplate over such trivial matters.

I was ‘gifted‘ (through a promotion) an iPhone 15 (non-pro) which would be a big upgrade from my current iPhone 12 mini.

But I had my sights on the 15 Pro or 16 Pro as my next major iPhone purchase (I usually upgrade every 4-6 years).

I could probably sell it and put proceeds towards the 16 Pro later this year as my 12 mini is still going strong.

But part of me wonders if I should just keep the 15 and not worry until iPhone 19 or 20! 😁
