Hey all,

When I upgrade to mac os lion, I want the files on my harddrive, in particular the stuff in my downloads folder, to remain intact untouched. I do NOT want to reformat my drive. So is there an option when upgrading to do just an upgrade and not a fresh install?

Thanks for response

Use time machine to do a full backup, install lion, restore with TM and you're done. I believe the way you want to do it is the way it works to begin with, but I would still back up anyway.

No problems with my upgrade. All files were in there correct location with Lion as they were with Snow Leopard. No need to panic.
