I remember that it took me quite a bit of planning and reading to install Lion on my iMac with a third-party SSD, considering that it is only big enough for the OS and the Applications folder.
All other personal content, including the Home folders and User Libraries, had to be installed on the internal HD with the help of symlinks and the like in order to avoid permissions problems. Moreover, TM backups do NOT allow you to restore parts of these backups to non-boot volumes.
So my question is: is a ML upgrade going to mess up with this careful setup that I have in place right now?
