In front of Macbook
I use Macbook bought in Jan 2011 now running updated Snow Leopard. Now, Im considering upgrading to Mountain Lion.I have a few questions on that.

- I have software like Adobe Photoshop on my Macbook, if I upgrade are they safe and can be used as usual on Mountain Lion.

- If in future for some reason I need to get back to Snow Leopard(hopefully hypothetical case), is it possible and easy?

- Will there be any performance issues with Mountain Lion on Macbook?

The pointers on this thread will help in going for a (Mountain) Lion or staying with (Snow) Leopard.

Thanks in advance Applers.

Why dont you create a partition to test mountain lion if you like it and is compatible with your apps.If you decide to upgrade just make sure you backup you snow leopard partition in case you regret it.

I suspect programs like Adobe photoshop will work fine. If you look on roaring apps.com it shows a large list of programs and compatibility.

But, to be safe I'm backing up using time machine therefore if there are any major problems, I can restore back to lion with the time machine backup.
