hey guys, was trying to update my mac mini system which is running on osx 10.3.9 to tiger. i used the install cd that came with my new powerbook?
i got to the select destination to install tiger. but it then said it was unable to install.

any ideas why?

is there diff versions??

1) What you're doing is a violation of the EULA on the Tiger installer.. e.g., not legal.

2) The PB installer is built to install on PBs, so it's a no go on your mini.

You should buy a legal version of Tiger and use that.

sure you don't need a firmware upgrade? it was a 14 sitcom trying w/varying degrees of success installing 10.4 (pirate ahoy) never did go on . . .after firmware update it installed no hassle at all

I'm sure.

The included install disks that come with new Macs only work on that model. Period.
