T tywebb13 macrumors 68040 Apr 21, 2012 3,129 1,842 Feb 18, 2015 #2 Do a time machine backup. You may restore the mavericks backup later if need be. Also consider dual booting. I dual boot mavericks and yosemite beta on a 2014 rmbp and it works pretty good.
