Upload a magazine PDF to iCloud Drive and open in iBooks?

So I placed a magazine pdf in a folder called PDF on my Yosemite Docs folder.

Then opened iBooks and tried to see if there was some kind of "open file" option that grabs from iCloud but there isn't.

Is there a way to do this nicely? Right now I'm just using Dropbox and opening the pdf in iPad Dropbox then it allows you to export to iBooks.

I can't sync with iTunes since I'm not at home. I'm actually trying to do this without iTunes anyway. I want to see if it's possible to do all within iCloud Drive.

If you email it to yourself, you'll have the option to open in iBooks.

My PDF is larger than email servers allow for thus the need to upload to iCloud Drive.

Documents app works fantastically.
