uploading an image

I see on the forums where people have uploaded images. I took a screenshot on my iphone and put it into iPhoto on my laptop. I tried to click and drag the image into a message box on this forum site but I only got text when I viewed the thread. Just wondering what I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Drag the image on your your Desktop, upload it through an image file host: imageshack.us or a personal site and type

When you create a topic or reply to a thread, below the text box where you type your message, look at the Additional Options

Click Manage Attachments
Click Browse to select your image
Click Upload

Done!
