This is my first year preordering. I've always gone on release day but wanted to be safe this time and just preordered. Will someone need to be at home to receive the package? If so, how can I override this because that seems unlikely.

You can leave a pre-sign authorization and stick it on your door and they will leave it at your door. However, it's up to the driver's discretion to whether or not to leave the package. Is there UPS CC near you that you can request a hold for pick up?
Yeah, and I think it is pretty close to my work. I just want to ensure I have it for the weekend. Wife is a way for a week and I need to play on it basically the whole time
Check and find out, you may be able to just request a hold for pick up and you should be able to pick it up on the day. It won't go into the truck.

I am with C-Spire, and it says 9/21 but I haven't received a shipping notification. Hopefully by tomorrow I at least get an update
If you have UPS MyChoice and you log in you might be in for a luck. Other way to find tracking now is to go to tracking then Track by reference, on the shipment reference, you can either use your phone number or your Apple order number including the W the front and removing the last 2. Select your destination country and zip code and see what comes up?
