Apple's rejection of "Life Decisions" app due to obscene content

I don't know how many nice little bikini, asian or whatever girls apps are in the app store. Apple doesn't seem to have any problems with these (why should they).
Our harmless app "Life Decisions" had more difficulties to pass the "Apple clean" test. Guess why? We introduced a new categories in our latest update called "sex" to get answers/recommendations on this life influencing and highly relevant topic. This was maybe a bit to courageous. We also used a condom to illustrate the category. That has been too much. We finally renamed it to "pleasure" and changed some of the potential answers. After two rejections they finally approved it.
If you are building an app, make sure not to use any words e.g. sex, condoms, viagra.

Someone to add blacklisted words?

not on the blacklist

Someone to add blacklisted words?

to add some positive points: not on the blacklist seems to be words/themes like smoke, dope, grass.
Maybe because of the hippy background of the Apple stuff (maybe of their parents) ;)

Ridiculous

Well, this really is ridiculous! There are so many apps with heaps of more than half-naked girls. Even the keywords are sex and sexy. So, to reject a harmless decision maker with harmless answers, even if it has a sex category, is a joke.
Can anybody give a logical answer on how Apple decides which app is rejected and which one is not?

US centric view

it not logical it is just Apple protecting themselfs against any judicial and medial recrimiations in the US.
In all other languages and countries they tend to be more relexed.
This means, if you use any blacklisted theme in your app, make it in French or Spanish.:)

Does Apple give you any specific reasons for their rejection or do you have to guess?

Do we really need every developer to create a thread on their rejected app?

If we had "Life Decisions" on our iPods/iPhones then we'd be able to answer this question. ;)
The question should be whether or not we need every developer to create a thread and post twice thereafter (before anyone else posts)?

I wouldn't mind it as much if it was an established member who had some post counts rather than trying to stir up attention.

If anything, it makes me want to never use that app.

only standard text

They give you a standard text, which gives only little help. Before you argue and try to find out, its best to change what you think what distrubs them.
