What has everyone found when comparing what ups tracking info had as scheduled date and when they received it. Mine is April 12, and I'm basically wondering if there's any hope that I might get it earlier on friday or Saturday.

You won't get it Saturday unless it's specifically shipped for Saturday delivery.

My personal experience with UPS is I always get it on or after the "estimated delivery date." FedEx, on the other hand, can show up days earlier. I'm sure this varies greatly on location and conditions (airport traffic, weather, etc).

My scheduleddelivery date actually disappeared from the tracking page once it had departure scan from hong kong. Can someone who got the ipad already list how long between when it left hong kong and arrived? I was thinking with my 3gs that it arrived before sched delivery date

Sometimes they hit a delivery exception (weather, delivery truck accident etc) and it comes LATER than the expected delivery date, but it virtually NEVER comes earlier.

Coming earlier has nothing to do with UPS, does it? All depends on when the item gets shipped in the 1st place and what kind of delivery method.

Hard to answer because many were put on hold so they wouldn't arrive early.
