Hey Folks,
So I just ordered a pure sine UPS for my MacPro. The UPS of course has a built in surge protector, but only does up to 1030 Joules. The Surge protector I'm using now is 2880 Joules. Which is a lot more. Would it be wise to use the surge protector I'm using now with the UPS (Of course I wouldn't use the extra outlets)? or would 1030 be fine?

What do you guys think? Which would be best?

KISS.

A UPS by default is a surge protector.
All depends on what your connecting to it.
I have 2 Cyberpower units (1300va) with multiple bits attached to each.
Have had no problems with spikes/drops in power, ups works as expected.
