I have previously activated, jaailbreaked and unlocked my personal iphone a few months back without any problems.

I have a friends iphone (16gb version 1)

Phone is at activation screen. I have ILIBERTY + 1.3.0.113

I select option to Jailbreak, activate and download bootloader.

Screen then appears 'bootin device into recovery mode'

The scroll bar goes to the end and states it could not enter recovery mode. It then gives me 2 options, 1 to try again, or 2 to put device manually in recovery mode. Which ever i try, the iphone does not enter recoverery mode.
Also, on the iphone, i picture of the cd with itunes and the data cable is shown (which i assume is recovery mode). If i turn the phone off, it automatically restarts and comes back to to this same screen but with the 'slide for emergency' scroll bar at the bottom. If i then start ITunes, it comes to the activation screen.

If i do the above, while i have Itunes open, a error pops up in Itunes stating phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. I fi then restart phone manually, it just sits at the 'picture of the cd with itunes and the data cable' I then need to restore the device to get it back to the same screen but with the 'slide for emergency' scroll bar at the bottom'

ILIBERTY WILL NOT ACTIVATE THE PHONE, cos it thinks it is not going into recovery mode!!

Aany ideas? Thanks in advance

can´t you just use pwnage with 2.0.2 ??? as far as i know that´s like the only programm that really works right now ...
it really easy and if you follow the directions posted somwhere here on macrumors you shoud be fine ...

ah, so am i not the only 1 having problems with ILIBERTY at the moment then?

well I think you are the only one that is using iliberty... I thought none of these programs still work with the 2.0. firmware or higher ...
so you should just use pwnage and i´m sure everything will be fine
