Urgent help needed with garageband and missing files

I'm using GarageBand 5 on Snow Leopard (I know it's old but this is what I'm trying on), and I wanted to get all the software instrument loops. I downloaded the rest of them from Software Update, but now in garageband they don't show up at all. Not even a greyed out box like there used to be. I lost 2GB of my HDD space and I can't find out where the files are.
