Hy guys. I just install from my MacBook Pro macOS Catalina on an external SSD drive and all went fine. I then decided to boot from this external SSD the system BUT on my older Macbook (not the pro) but when I chose the external disc the Mac show me the prohibition sign and I can't enter my system.

Is it normal? For what I know, I can install and use macOS from my external SSD on all the Mac or I'm wrong?

is maybe the fact that I'm trying to load my external SSD disc with Catalina macOS on MacBook Pro late 2010 that not support Catalina?

The MBP 2010 does not support Catalina, that's why it will not boot.

If you really would like to install it ,there are ways :OpenCore or DosDude are the most common ones.

Maybe this is helpful to get an idea:

Yeah!!! Will tell you soon if it was his fault. I will try the boot from external on another iMac ;)
