I have an iphone 6 running iOS 10.2, jailbroke it before school and being the downer I am, started downloading tweaks that ARE supported however I never installed Safe Substrate, I jailbroke via Yale method. Tried manual safe boot but it's not working, am i doing anything, the method i used was to make the screen stop rebooting, turn it on again and then hold the UP VOLUME BUTTON. It's weird though because it doesn't seem tl reboot, just stuck on the apple logo forever until a press home and power, doesn't respond to just power button HAAAAALP SOOMEONE

seems that the only option currently is to restore, shame that i lost the jailbreak within 24hours of its release, now possibly going to have to wait months or maybe forever BTW dont be a nonce like me and spend 3 hours trying to figure it out RIPRIPRPIRP

Did you install AppSync?

You need to launch the Yalu app, and press volume UP immediately after pressing GO, and do NOT let go until you get back to the lock screen.

If you have saved your SHSH blob for 10.2 before Apple stopped signing it, you can always return to 10.2 that way.

[doublepost=1485889177][/doublepost]Yalu*** method

I think I have found the best method of all but I could be wrong so read my solution in full before you comment.

My problem: Pretty much same problem but potentially worse. Installed bunch tweaks and phone was working fine for a while. One of the tweaks I installed was custom boot logo tweak which allows me to set a custom background instead of default screen we see when iphone boots up. BTW, I am on 10.2.1 with Yalu jailbreak.

So now, that tweak malfunctioned and when i boot into jailbreak mode, the phone gets stuck on my custom background. The phone itself boots up fine in JB mode in the background but on my screen, I can only see the custom image i had selected. No matter how many time i press home button, I can't see my home screen icons.

Tried the safe mode by first going non jb mode, going to yalu, pressing go and then holding the vol up button. Phone will either boot into non jb mode or get stuck on that custom image upon start up.

Previously, I would do "erase all content and settings" after backing up my iphone so the phone boots back in to clean ios version that I can jailbreak and then restore my data from the backup.

Well, I forgot I had set a restrictions password and I don't remember it anymore.

Since I can't go into cydia to uninstall malfunctioning tweak, I can't get out of the problem.

Had a brain wave and here is how I fixed it.

1. Go to non jb mode, carry out a backup to iTunes so your data is safe.
2. Go to icloud.com and erase the phone from there. THIS will erase the phone but keep your iOS version.
3. Once phone boots back, u simply jailbreak and then set it up from scratch and restore data from iTunes.

Oh you wouldn't believe how estatic I felt after doing this.

The usual method that works in 99% of cases didn't work for me because the malfunctioning tweak prevented me from getting into Cydia.

But this method worked just fine !!

Wow, thank you very much! This worked like a charm and was able to resolve an issue with an installed jailbreak tweak that caused my brothers iPhone to be stuck at the Apple Logo once I tried to run Yalu to rejailbreak. So I hit GO in Yalu and immediately held the volume up button until it resprang to the lock screen and it was then in the jailbroken state as it should be. You just made my brother one of the happiest men in the world tonight! Your knowledge is appreciated! You're awesome!

Dude, stop resurrecting threads that are 5 months old....

It doesn't matter how long ago this thread was posted. Even though its a 5 month old thread the information in this thread helped save my brothers phone and its respectful to say thank you to the contributor.
