Hi

So I created a partition to run the Yosemite beta a while ago. It installed and everything was working fine. I now wanted to delete my yosemite partition but it wouldn't let me. Anyway so I updated my main partition to yosemite since it was the GM build and now looking at disk utility it says that I have two logical volume groups and I can't delete anything. Can you please help me?

Thank you

New Problem

Ok. I tried this command "diskutil cs revert disk1" and also on disk2.
So I could now delete the Yosemite partition but now I can't resize Macintosh HD to fill where yosemite was.
This is the diskutil cs list printout
Code:

And I get this when I try to revert disk2

Started CoreStorage operation on disk2 Macintosh HD
Error: -69741: The target disk isn't eligible for reversion because it wasn't created by conversion or it is not part of a simple setup of exactly one logical and one physical volume

Since you had Yosemite on the first partition, I think what you were after was this command.

Code:
diskutil cs revert disk0

Would love to know how you fixed this, as I'm having an identical problem, and would like my 100GB back :)

The command I mentioned in my post would have fixed OP's issue and allowed normal manipulation of the partitions with Disk Util.

What threw OP was the previous posts involved Yosemite on a second partition and reverting disk1 would do the trick for those, but OP's was on the first partition so he needed to use revert disk0 to turn of the Yosemite induced core storage.
