Hi,
I'm currently running one of the iOS 5 beta builds (beta 7), and my phone is jailbroken so that I can use internet tethering. I'm leaving for a week long trip today, so I need to update to the real iOS 5 before I leave since the beta expires on the 20th.
The complication is that my phone is currently my only source of internet (tethering). So I can download iTunes and the iOS 5 firmware no problem, but I'm wondering if I would need internet at any point after that, since once I start installing on my phone, my only source of internet disappears.
Is internet on my Mac needed for any registration type stuff, or is all done strictly on the phone over 3G?
Thanks,
-Numegil
