I keep hearing that there is a behavior change to the URL bar in Safari on iOS 13.4 but I still find it quite cumbersome to get a d*** cursor. Can anybody tell me what is actually different about this version (I googled and searched here and could not find)? How is the behavior different and/or better? Worse?

I find it incredibly difficult to get a cursor too.

And, what word did you * out in your post? I’m intrigued LOL. Was it damn?

Don’t worry, damn isn’t one of them. It’s not a swear word by anyone’s definition IMO. And if it is, they need to grow up and get a damn life!

Back OT, glad it’s not just me who had the cursor issue. It’s pretty much impossible now. There must be a way or a nack to it.

I’m not sure I’m understanding right.

I’m using a mouse. Assuming there’s a website address in the address bar, I hover over it and if I left click once all of the website address is highlighted. If I left click once more, then a cursor appears at the point I’ve just clicked.

Edit: Sorry, didn’t see this tagged as an iPhone thread, I answered for iPad. I haven’t yet updated the iPhone to 13.4.

No worries. ARM is changing everything.

Clicking the url selects the entire url. Move the selection handle to get a cursor. the behavior did seem to change.
OK so I did that, and I went all the way to one side of the field, found the selection handle and then dragged it inward from the left, now I can tap into non-selected text and make edits. Its still way worse than it used to be. Agree or disagree?

Whether the new behavior is better or worse depends on the first action one wanted to do when clicking in the url. the change is good for those who want to copy the url, but bad for those who want to edit the url.

I always use 3D Touch on the keyboard so I don’t know how the behavior was before. But getting the cursor now is annoying.
