US & Canada 3G advice

I am travelling to the US and Canada soon and want to get a microsim or two for the trip.

In the UK I am using a three SIM that is pay as you go with no contract / activation. Is anything else similar available via ebay etc for each?

Which are the best networks? Can't see needing more than 1 gb for each location.

Any advice appreciated.

No requirement for microsim as I did cut this one done...

Not for Canada. All three major carriers in canada offer iPad plan. There are not prepaid data plans otherwise. Here is an article comparing the three. If you go to Apple store, they'll give you a microsim for free.

I have an extra Rogers sim looking for a trade with an AT&T sim (in Market Place section).

Do any carriers offer pre paid data in the US or canada even non iPad specific?

Setting up accounts with foreign cards seems like a bit of a process!

Apple Stores in Canada give you the Rogers or Bell microSIM for free. Mixed reports on whether you can activate with a non-Canadian credit card.
