US Flag Vector Fix (The Noun Proj)

There is a great icon of a US Flag from the Noun project, but the download looks all black. The vector shapes are there, but it doesn't seem like there is any white space.

I was able to delete every-other stripe but can't figure out how to fix the stars. Is it a mask? How did they get the stars to be white on a black background and how can I fix it?

Thanks guys, but I'm actually working on a personal site that uses some other icons from the Noun project so I'm trying to keep with that style.

Any guess on how they made that existing file to look like the one on the site?
