US iphone in UK

ok, so i have been out of the loop a bit, but is it yet known if you can use a uk bank US dollar account and UK ip address via itunes to activate an imported iphone here in the uk? and use the phone in roaming (do we know roaming prices?) thanks if you have any details

No. You need a Social Security # and US address to activate the phone, not just US dollars. Plus roaming rates for the UK are about $1 a minute. Not very practical. Just wait a few months and the Euro iPhone will be out, and probably leapfrog the US version. At least it will be 3G.
