I'm looking to give my brother-in-law an ipod when he comes to visit from Australia. I'm just wondering if he will have a problem accessing the iTunes Australia site if he ends up with the US install disc. Does anyone know if this will be a problem and/or if there is a way to work around it? Thanks.

Well, there isn't an Australian iTMS yet. The only issues I can think of would be AppleCare and power supply. This last bit is pretty easily overcome with a cheap adaptor. :)

Is AppleCare cross country?

Anyway, it works just fine (my iPod is American, and it's happily playing at this very moment)

It'll be fine, all he'll need is a plug adaptor for the charger.
