iPod USA Gift Card in the UK?

Ok, I'm of to the USA this weekend for 2 weeks and while I'm there I'm sure I can steer the misses into an Apple Store :D

Question is I was thinking of picking up a few iTunes gift cards to get some stuff from iTunes USA. DO I however need a USA billing address or can I just use my existing iTunes UK account for this?

You yanks have so much more stuff and so much cheaper so I thought what the hey might as well give it a try!
 
You don't need a U.S. credit card.
The iTunes cards are for people without credit cards.
Get the iTunes cards.
Go to the U.S. iTunes store.
click on redeem.
you'll be asked for the code on the card, name, address, ZIP CODE and an email address.
An account is created.
Tip : keep your receipts from hotel/motel.......they'll even have a zipcode.
It worked for me.
Don't try and redeem them through your U.K account.
I've got two accounts now, one at the U.S. store and one at another countries store.

so will the same work when it comes to the movie store purchases? season passes etc.. ? just get a USA gift card?

I'll find out in about 8 hours if I can get movies.
 
I started the process.
I am able to buy a movie.
Trouble is, there is nothing in the movie store I want to buy.
So I didn't click the final 'purchase' button.
I'm wondering how the video standard will affect playback.
I'm in a PAL country.
They should play ok on a computer or iPod.
I'm not sure if it will stream from iTV to PAL TV.
 
i really want usa content!!!!

could someone from the usa kindly get me a $20 gift certificate - i will obviously send you the money through paypal first. then i could simply redeem the content using the code from the certificate without entering a credit card and could just use a hotel adress as my address?

i will give you a few bucks for the trouble if anyone is willing to try and help me out. thanks.
 
Zip code

I always used to struggle with US zip codes. As I didn't know the format I couldn't even make one up... till I caught my brother watching his dvds... Beverly Hills 90210. Works every time I need a zip code LOL!

So the US music cards work? Cool! :D
 
Does anyone know of a website where you can buy us itunes certificates with a uk credit card?
