Usage time = Standby time? - Battery...

So for the last two days, my the usage and standby time in my setting menu have been very close to equal. I charged the phone fully last night and it now says:

Usage: 10 Hours, 3 Min
Standby: 10 Hours, 4 Min

I took it off the charger about 10 hours ago so both counters are going up constantly at the same time, which doesn't make sense to begin with. If something is really in use constantly, it might explain why my battery dies in 10 or so hours with very little use...but I don't know what is doing it.

Is anyone seeing something similar?? Any suggestions?

I just tied "force quitting" all my apps by holding the home button for 8 sec while each was individually running. I also tried simply powering the phone off and back on. Still, both counters go up...

I'm getting the same thing. I noticed it yesterday. Both times are exactly the same. However, it hasn't always been that way. I don't know what changed though. Anyone have any idea?

at least you guys get to see your usage time. Mine still says I haven't fully charged it. I have an appointment with the genius in an hour.

never got usage time after 3 full drains and 3 attempts at a full recharge - went to the genius bar this AM in soho nyc and they couldn't fix it either - at least they were cool and gave me a new 8gb. hopefully this one has a battery that works.

Yeah, I have that problem too. I have had the phone since 10 p.m. the 29th. And I have yet to see any usage stats. Keeps telling me I will see them once the phone is fully charged.

Mine has been having issues too. I had an appointment at the genius bar just 20 minutes ago. They want me to do a full restore via itunes first before they take any action.

According to the guy I talked to, he said I'm the first person to come in an ask questions about the charging and the usage meters and that there hasn't been to many people coming in with problems. He said he was surprised that the reliability of the rev A iPhone.

Come monday though, if I'm still having issues, I'm going right back to the apple store near my house...

just got back and they gave me a new phone. they're sold out but they seem to have extras for returns.

Well my usage never did show up, so I went to the Legacy Village Apple Store in Cleveland. Showed them the problem, and they gave me a new one.

WOW what a difference in battery life. It's like night and day difference.

AND my usage shows up after a full charge.

Man am I glad I took mine back.

i found it funny that they didn't even try to fix it. they just said they'll replace it with a new one. i'm happy, but i kind of wished they gave me a better explanation.even though the usage time never came up, i got real good batteyr life from it. oh well... also, the usage shows on my new one.
