Anyone else having trouble with USB 3.0 devices in the latest Developer beta? My USB hub is unusable and my external caddy for my boot drive is dicey and often needs re plugging to work.

Anyone got any ideas?

FWIW, I'm not on the developer releases, but am on the public betas. I just installed PB 3 this morning. I am actually running 10.11 over USB 3 via a powered USB 3 hub to my 2012 cMBP and over the course of all three PB's, it's worked just fine, as well as other accessories I've plugged into it.

YEah this doesn't surprise me, and I'm not convinced it's an issue with the beta, probably just an old cheap hub failing on me. The caddy works after a plug out and in so I suspect that's just the Mac's drivers for the USB not kicking in fast enough and it defaulting to my internal Windows 10 partition. Oh well, new hub time. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Good luck and hopefully its only the hub acting up. Although there is another thread where people are, in fact, having issues with USB connectivity on El Capitan.

I have a USB 3 Hub and it hasn't worked since Yosemite. For some reason it disconnects my drives when I transfer stuff and when I called Anchor, they said its not the hub but that the hard drives require too much power. I don't know why thats true because they are powered from an external adaptor.

I am on the Public Beta 3 and I still have a problem with my iMac seeing my USB attached drive. In my case the drive is directly attached. If I disconnect and reconnect the drive it will then recognize the drive.
