Hi guys, i have a MacPro 2009 with dual core.

I added a usb-c card (dodocool d26) it worked out of box but there is a tiny problem.

I connected power from one of sata bay’s power socket. When the machine goes sleep mode the pcie power disconnects and all the connected devices being ejected.

Is this because of power or sth else.

Check your energy saver options in SystemPreferences, and see if the 'put hard drives to sleep' option is selected. If so, uncheck it, and see if your USB 3.1 works after that. I suppose if your power is supplied by a sata power connection, it might be that the power is disconnected when the hard drives are sleeping. Just a thought.

Just want to check if there was solution for this. I recently got this usb 3.1 card for my mac pro 5.1. My regular devices were working fine except when i plugged my wd ssd drive and was getting those eject issue when copying over to the drive. Also noticed some restarts i think when sleep mode and I tried all the solutions for that.

What I found weird was that under system preferences when I check USB ports, I see my usb 2.0 buses but not the new usb 3.1 card I plugged. Am I missing something or should I be powering this separately? no cable came with the unit.

Thanks
