Does anyone have recommendations on a good USB 3 (Type A) Ethernet Adapter that I can use with my MacBook Air 2012. Most of the ones that I have found so far require drivers which I would like to avoid. I plug my MacBook Air into an external monitor so I can't use the Thunderbolt Ethernet Adapter.

Well, I believe the USB adapters ALL require the installation of a "driver", so if you want to use one of these, you'll have to accept the reality of installing the driver.

Or… choose not to use one.

If you don't want drivers, you can always get Apples ethernet adapter. It doesn't support 1000 mbit.
