Is anyone having issues with usb audio.. I am using Focusrite USB interface for audio recording but it doesn't show up in either Audio(System Preferences) or Audio Midi Setup. I also tried with Sony USB Headphones, even they fail to show up.

Does anyone have any idea.. how to fix it?

What version of Sierra? The reason I ask is I couldn't use the Beta 1 here at all because it would never see my Logitech Keyboard K800 that I'm using on my iMac. The keyboard is recognized fine in the Sierra Public Beta. I'm using the Focusrite 2i4 with the Public Beta and it's been working fine here.

I cannot understand why anyone would upgrade their OS to a Beta version unless it was on a secondary external drive, we all expect compatibility issues with a Beta release. Even the App store suggests not to install on a primary drive.

Perhaps some of us have the ability to test it on our primary because we have the ability to revert back to a prior backup within minutes. :)

Usually it's because we are desperately hoping it fixes some compatibility issue that is already in the current release version.

I have had so many USB problems with El Capitan I feel a Beta preview can't be any worse.

OP:

Your question might be better asked over at the gearslutz.com forums.

That's where the "audio geeks" are….!
