usb broadband modem into router

my family has recently signed up for adsl broadband that supplys a usb modem. however the intention is to set up a home network with a wireless router. im not a big networking geek but from what i have seen routers come with an ethernet connection for input. what would be the best way to solve this problem?

Some routers have a USB port for this very situation. Apart from that:

1) Use a PC or Mac with Internet Connection Sharing to share out the USB modem.

2) Buy a router with a built-in modem and simply don't use the USB one (this is probably the best solution as it's one box).

Pretty much anything on this page will be fine. Setup is generally browser based, but a quick check of a few reviews might be wise just in case any require IE (it'd be rare).

Or for a little more with built in Wireless.

Personally I am a fan of 3Com, but most major brands are fine.

Hmm, all the prices appear to be in US Dollars and we, here in the UK, use Pounds Sterling!

Can you ask them for a router with an ethernet connection on it? Your life will be much easier and more pleasant if they can give you one, or give you a credit to go buy one.
