iPad Pro USB-C 90 Degree Adapter

After doing some research I settled on the Kingston Nucleum USB-C hub for my ipad pro. The only dislike I have is the short cable and how it sits when plugged into the ipad (when on a stand).

Does anyone have any experience of 90 degree/right angled USB-C adapters and do they work fine for things like this?

I was going to purchase a male to female USB-C extension cable but read online that they aren't recommended at all? Is this the case?

I use them on multiple cables, hubs and devices and have no issues with data, video, or charging.
