I am having a difficult time finding a reliable USB-C cable for my 11" iPad Pro. I have purchased several cables from Amazon, including this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B093F5V5RP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FY32M1Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Using this cable, and several other 3.1 cables, I am not able to connect my iPad to my 14" 2022 MacBook Pro. The iPad charging indicator fluctuates on and off every 5 to 10 seconds, and the iPad never shows up in Finder.

Using the USB C cable that came with my GoPro creates a reliable connection. What is the secret to getting a good cable?

I would look at Anker, instead of some unknown off-brand. It will be a little more expensive but it will be reliable.

I have an Anker cable as well, and it also doesn't work...

If no one else is having issues, I'm wondering if something is up with my iPad.

Might be a loose USB-C port. Being that its both off and on brand cables, suggests its the iPad. Is the GoPro cable a tighter fit?

I just tested it on another MacBook Pro and it connects and charges perfectly with all of the above cables, so the issue is with my 14" MacBook Pro.

I just loaded OS 12.3 on my Mac and the problem persists. Any ideas?

All 3 ports experience the issue, or is it a particular USB C port?

All three ports. I've narrowed the problem down to my 14" MacBook Pro after testing it with my 13" MacBook Pro and finding everything worked. I've reset the PRAM and upgraded the OS to 12.3 but the problem persists.
