I have a USB-C in the center console of my BMW, I would like to charge my AirPods Pro Case in there, but if I use a USB-C to lightning cable the car treats it is a data source and continually complains that it cannot connect. Is there such thing as a charge only USB-C to lightning cable?

Thanks!

I won't be of much help - but there has to be. these were common in mini-usb cables for electronics that needed to be charged without tripping the data mode of the computer (like a cycling computer)

They were called OTG - On The Go cables...

Which BMW do you have? On my E90 335i I can tell the car to not scan attached USB devices.
