While I'm at it: There are a gazillion specs out there for USB-C cables. I understand for data transfer that matters. For just charging my iPad pro can I buy something more basic? Are there minimal specs (eg, USB 3.0) or whatever that I should be looking for?

I also wasn't able to find a document about this on the Apple site, and neither was the trainer I tried out (right now they seem to be giving free sessions--I stumped my guy on technical stuff but learned a few new tricks--worth 15 minutes of my life).

I want something longer than Apple's tiny cable.

TIA.
