I don't know if it's a faulty USB-C hub or if there's a way to force my macbook to recognize it.

Normally when i plug a usb stick in my laptop, it will show up on Finder. From there i can open it and put/take files from it.

But with this new USB C hub, nothing shows up so i can't access it. I went to System Information and checked the USB section. When i plug it in, it does give me a green check mark. However i don't know how to access/open it, if that's even possible at all. Anyone has any solutions?

What brand and model of "USB-C hub"?
What do you mean by "a green check mark"? Where do you see that checkmark?

What is the storage device that you are trying to use? Thumb drive (USB stick)?
What is the brand and capacity? (Not one of those fake "bargains" from wish/etc, I hope!)
Does your USB stick appear in your Disk Utility?

Nevermind it works! My dumb self plugged in the empty hub and of course nothing showed up. I had to plug in a usb stick into the hub first before anything shows up. Smh.

Sorry for wasting your time. Everything is fine.
PS: It was one of those cheap ones from aliexpresss but surprisingly it's working!
