I often travel with work and although it isn’t a terrible experience watching my media on a 9.7” (now 11”) screen, while staying in the hotel I’d like to make use of the larger screen TV in the room.

I’m looking for some feedback on the experience when using the iOS to HDMI adapter.

Does this work in the same way AirPlay with AppleTV work? Mirror screen when not viewing media but full screen when media is playing?

Yes. I use one while I’m traveling and it works just as you expect.
