Hello,

Few weeks ago I bought macbookpro 2017.
I was planing to buy LG 4K UHD 27UD88-W.
Watched few reviews on YT, it seamed to be good monitor with fair price.
Then I found out about that it have problems when it's connected via USB-C with mbp.
But most of the forum treads that I found was problems with mbp2016 with this monitor
and few others USB-C monitors, like ASUS MX27UC. There's a very little info about this problem?

Do someone have expirience with combination
of this LG monitor and mbp2017?

And is there some reliable option for USB-C monitor for mbp2017

Thanks!

We have a bunch of these monitors with 2016 and 2017 MBPs, no problems, 4K@60Hz, charging works perfectly. There are minor gripes with the monitor, like weirdly specced USB ports, but it does the job.

So no problems when connected with USB-C to USB-C, because I want to take advantage of charging capabilities

Thanks for answer

We haven't discovered any problems so far, but of course your experience might vary. I think we have four or five of these displays, with both 13" and 15" MBPs from 2016 and 2017.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I bought LG 4K UHD 27UD88-W and it works well.
I charges my mbp2017, it's 57w, I think that charger charges on 60w. I have keyboard plug in to monitor usb port and it works without any problem.

Thaks for your answers....
