Just bought my 3rd MacBook Pro due to the USB-C ports becoming non-functional after 8-10 months of use. I plug and unplug them often so they physically wear out. To prevent this I would like to find a USB-C to USB-C adapter that I could keep plugged into the computer so that just the adapter periodically wears out. I haven't had luck finding a USB-C to USB-C adapter. Does anyone know if they are available?

This is my concern about the rumored iPhone with USB-C. USB-C ports seem to be too fragile for excessive plugging and unplugging, like what one would do to charge their phone.


Does anyone know if they are available?

At least for charging, you could look into magnetic adapters. Most limit charging to 60W but that's still plenty imho.
