I have the original 2015 12.9 iPad Pro and the Apple 29W USB-C charger and lightning to USB-C cable. Problem is it’s only 3 foot. Can anyone recommend a 6 footer on Amazon that will be as good as the Apple cable? Anker probably? Or should I just spring for the official Apple cable? $$

Got nothing against Aukey but Anker gets my vote for their support. I've had one of their USB-C to Lightning cables start to give me charging issues and I emailed them and received a replacement free of charge within a week. I've always had great communication with them and they've rewarded me with great support.

Wouldn't disagree. I have plenty of Anker products - 17 of them pop up in my Amazon order history.

Yeah, as others have noted.. the Anker is the best bet. Plus they tend to have discounts.

I last summer I bought a ten foot long braided lightning to USB A cable for ten or fifteen dollars at the grocery store. I have some USB C to A adapters with a braided lead that I bought for a few dollars previously. The combo syncs and charges. The brand of cable is Vivitar, I think.

I think I will go with this one

The Anker Powerline+ II cables have a braided covering and should be more durable. I always buy those over the regular cables and have never had a failure.
This is the one I ordered: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JHTZZGP

OK, I’m gonna go with Anker braided one. Thanks for all the info. I can tell it apart from my other cables that way too. Now to find the best mouse since iPadOS has hot corners support and other improvements. One that will work without a mousepad ideally....

I'm using the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S and it works great, with a single button switch between my iPad Pro and docked laptop. It also works on any surface it can move on.

Thanks, I will give it a go, that seems to be the favorite of many. Done shopping for the day, thanks!
