Normal, IL
So my new 14 PM is my first device with usb c to lightning. I thought I could just keep using my usb a to lightning to charge over night that I used on my 12 PM but when I woke this morning the phone was only at 85%. I rebooted, turned off optimized charging and it just wouldn’t charge any higher.

Tried a usb c to lightning cable and boom it’s almost to 100%. Does that really make a difference? Is this normal?

I used a usb-a to lightning last night to charge my 14 PM, so I’m pretty sure it does work (my Kiddo stole my usbc charger for her iPad).

Maybe it’s the cable. What kind of brick? I was using the smaller brick that used to ship with iPhones. Maybe that’s why.

USB-C to Lightning can charge much faster due to Fast Charging. The old chargers Apple used to supply are 1A, 5V (5W), they will charge your new phone extremely slow.

That’s what I used too (it’s so old the writing has faded). Not sure why yours would stop. It’s definitely SLOW charging, but overnight it should have charged.

Maybe try a restart of your phone. Ive seen a bunch of posts now with people having weird issues and a restart fixed it.
