Hello,

Would it be possible to load one of these into a 5.1 Mac Pro, then use a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter to run a Thunderbolt 2 soundcard (Universal Audio Apollo 16)?

Here is a link to the card:

https://www.amazon.com/Ableconn-PU31-1A1C-Type-C-Express-Adapter/dp/B0157BS5D0/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t

And here is a link to the adapter:

Thanks,
-AB
as explained to me in my question, the adapter is a Thunderbolt3 to Thunderbolt2, not USB 3 to thunderbolt adapter.
