I am currently running aTV v.2.2 and have installed aTV USB Creator.
I would like to use my AppleTV's USB port to plug in my 1tb external drive which holds my movies.
I followed the the guide on iClarified for to Install USB on a Take 2 AppleTV. After rebooting my AppleTV I could not scroll through the menus.
The problem was easily fixed with a factory restore.

Has anyone on this forum have USB drive support along side aTV USB creator working on their Apple TV?
NOTE: I have just realized that my USB drive is formatted using NTFS. I will reformat and try mounting it again.

Thanks in advance.

Try 2

After reading various posts about enabling USB support on the AppleTV, I read that AppleTV will support an NTFS file system. (perhaps read only).
This is due to the drivers being the same on the AppleTV as OS X.

I formatted my USB using a Mac OS X partition, and still my USB drive was not detected.

Has anyone else tried enabling the USB port after using the aTV USB creator?

Solved

I installed NitoTV and ran the Smart Installer, and now have USB drive access.
