I have a USB memory drive and when I take the files that I have saved on them off (ie. move them on to my mac) it still says the memory is full? how do I empty the memory so that I can save more files on the USB drive?

Make sure you delete them after you move them to the Mac.

Then try plugging in the drive and emptying the trash in the dock. When you delete things, they aren't removed from the drive. They are moved to a hidden folder. Emptying the Trash deletes these files.

Yes, you have to empty the whole trash. I can't think of any other way to do it.

Edit: You could go in via terminal and delete them, if you feel comfortable with the terminal.
