USB eject hotkey?

So I have a habbit of just pulling out my USB key when i'm done..
But i realised the other day.. there must be a way to .. no matter what screen you are in you can hit a button like f12 or a sequence like command + x
and it automatically ejects your USB drive..

anyone had experience or know of a way to do this?

Jettison app will auto-eject just before sleeping, and also provides a menubar button to permit a more manual eject.

highlight the drive icon on desktop and press Command+E

This same trick also works to eject optical disks and Disk Images (DMGs) too.
