So I'm using my Air at work and occasionally the Air loses it's ethernet connection altogether and I have to remove the Ethernet adaptor from it's hub and reinsert to reestablish an ethernet connection.

So, does anybody know if the USB Ethernet Adaptor has issues?

i had a couple of issues like that. turns out my cable was loose on the router end of things. plus if you move the air too quickly or hit the cord the usb cable WILL come loose. i wish there were a way to secure it.

Can you confirm that you are not using a USB hub to connect your ethernet adapter? If yes, maybe the USB hub is the cause of the flakey connection?

Does anybody know if you have an external display plugged in and you are using the hub of that display for the ethernet if/when the energy saver sleeps the display will it power down the hub on that external display? So the display's hub is plugged into the Airs USB port.
