I'm looking for a 6-10' USB extension cable that I can connect to the charger and the Lighting cable that will not give me 'unrecognized charger' errors and will not slow down charge speed. Any suggestions?

The 3' factory cable is too short and using a power strip to extend isn't realistic. Being able to use a USB extension cable is the BEST solution, I just need to know one that will work perfectly as if it wasn't there (no iOS errors and no loss of charge power).

Suggestions?

I use the USB extension cable that came with the older Mac keyboards. They work fine. Never had a problem, and my phone charges just as fast.

I also have a generic USB extension cable that came with some USB wifi adapter a few years back. It works just as well.

The chip that the iPhones and iPads are looking for is in the lighting cable. It doesn't check or care about what the lightning cable is plugged into.

The problem with a lot of the generic cables is they do not pass the same amperage as just using the lighting cable alone. That means that with the extension cable, it charges slower. When I was jailbroken, I had an app that would show the actual charge current and its was a lot lower with the extension. I think this has something to do with the physical thickness of the wires. I'm hoping someone has discovered one that is tested to charge at the same speed.
