USB mic disconnect/reconnect issue :(

Hey guys,

I've been trying to connect my Yeti USB Microphone to my macbook pro (El Capitan 10.11.1) but it appears in the 'sounds' section of systems preferences for a few seconds and then disappears. It just appears and disconnects repeatedly.

I've swapped cables and tried different ports - it works fine on my Macbook Air so the issue is not with the microphone at all.

Does anyone have any idea whats going on here?

Yes, El Capitan is having issues with some usb mics.
Have you asked Blue about it?

OK so I have googled around for you.
There is a known problem with Blue mics in El Cap.
It seems as though Blue have said Apple will release a patch...sometime.
Read about it here....https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7262138?start=0&tstart=0

I know its no solution as there doesn't seem to be one, not just yet anyway, keep an eye out in el Cap updates.
