I recently got a MacBook Pro with M3 Pro running Sonoma 14.4.1. I connect it to peripherals (including a wireless logitech mouse and wireless Dell keyboard) through a Dell thunderbolt docking station. It'll often fail to recognize one or more of those peripherals on waking up. However, if I disconnect the laptop from the dock and reconnect it, it'll find them again. Is there something I can do to prevent this issue?

Does the dock have an on/off switch?
If so, have you tried turning it off, then on, to see if that forces a "re-connection"?

I realize this doesn't "fix" the problem.
But many folks have similar issues with "the disconnection of connected peripherals" after the Mac laptop wakes up from sleep. The problem "is what it is", and most of the time, the user just has to find suitable "work-arounds" and live with it.

I would want to minimize the wear-and-tear on the laptop port itself.
If the dock does NOT have an on/off switch, it probably has a power supply?
I'd just pull that out of the wall outlet, and then plug it back in.
