MP 1,1-5,1 USB standard Mouse stops working after one minute...

Hi there,

no matter what mouse I am using, on two different Mac Pros (1.1 and 3.1), both running unsupported OS (Capitan and High Sierra), though, after one minute in the desktop environment, the mouse just stops functioning. After replug it works fine again for a short time.

Keyboard works fine. The mouse issue happens on all USB ports.

Is there any experience on your side?

Any ideas?

no, not that I know of.

It could be a simple battery replacement - at the PCI slots there is small round CR2032 3V battery. Worth a try..-
