USB Stick Not showing: Where Should I look ?

Hello,

Using high sierra.

I plug a USB Memory stick in, but can't see anywhere that it shows.
Finder doesn't seem to show it.

Where should it be, and where should I look for it, please ?

First up go to Finder > Preferences and ensure 'External Disks' is checked.

Thanks. External Disks IS checked.

Funny, they both show up on the W10 side (using Parallels)
Perhaps they are formatted for "only" W10 ?

With the stick in the port, go to Utilities > Disk Utility and see if it is there. If you are going to use with both systems, format on the Mac ex Fat.

I sometimes have that problem when I plug an SD card into the reader. It usually shows up after I take it out then reinsert it a few times. I haven't figured out why this happens.
